Every year, Quais du Polar organises a thriller study day for teachers and librarians, in conjunction with the Lyon education authority, the Lyon municipal library network and the DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The aim of this day, part of which is devoted to youth novels, is to raise awareness of thrillers among teachers and librarians and to give them ideas for starting work on the genre with adults and children.
2025 training day
See you on Thursday April 3, 2025 for the next training day!
Registration opens on Monday January 13 on the Enssib website.
Back to the 2024 training day
The 16th study day took place on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ENSSIB.
According to the latest barometer on the French and reading, crime and spy novels come third in the ranking of most-read genres. Often regarded as a genre apart, devalued in comparison with ‘white literature’, the crime novel is nevertheless a very much alive literature, not only because of its success with a wide readership, but also because of the wealth of artistic sensibilities it conveys.
This day is aimed at national education authorities, book and reading professionals and, more broadly, professionals working in the field of culture and cultural action: socio-cultural players, moderators, local authority technicians, etc.
