Every year, Quais du Polar organizes a crime fiction study day at Enssib for teachers, documentalists, and librarians. In conjunction with the Lyon Board of Education, the Lyon municipal library network, and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs, this day, part of which is devoted to crime fiction for young people, aims to raise awareness of crime fiction among teachers and librarians and give them ideas for working with adults and children on this genre.
The 2026 Study Day
‘Story seekers: science and fiction’: based on the theme of the 2026 edition of the festival, speakers will explore the links between science and crime fiction. From the hard sciences – nature, ecology – to the humanities and social sciences – history, geopolitics – via technical progress and the psychological drivers of fear, authors and publishers will offer you an overview of current French and international literary trends.
