The 21st edition of the Quais du Polar international festival will take place from 4 to 6 April 2025 in Lyon.
The festival is aimed at all audiences: readers of detective novels, amateur detectives, news enthusiasts, cinephiles in search of thrills, curious walkers, citizens attentive to the way the world works, lovers of parties and encounters, fans of graphics and comics, escape game enthusiasts… Big or small, alone, with friends or family, day or night: everyone has an appointment at the Quais du Polar!
The main venues of this literary event in Lyon are the Hôtel de Ville (Lyon 1st), the Palais de la Bourse and the Chapelle de la Trinité (Lyon2nd), it is in these three places that you will find the majority of our literary meetings.
Cultural partners located in the city center of Lyon or in the area can also host meetings with the authors of noir novels invited by Quais du Polar.
The vast majority of cultural events organised at the Quais du Polar are free and free to access within the limit of available places.

True to its desire to be an event open to all, the Quais du Polar festival has decided to create the Quais Solidaires project.
The festival is strengthening its accessibility to people with disabilities (PRM, deaf and hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired, mental and psychological disabilities, etc.).
Various actions are offered each year: presentation of books in large print, conferences offered in French Sign Language, film screenings in audio description, etc.

The program will be broadcast on our partner venues from mid-March 2025.

The Quais du Polar program will also be available for download and viewing on our website and on the Fest app from March 2025.
Professionals wishing to participate in polar professional meetings must apply for a Polar Connection accreditation.

The survey is free and open to all, without registration.
A time slot in French Sign Language is also available for deaf people.

Quais du Polar is helped each year by a team of 350 volunteers on various missions: help with the technical team, reception and supervision of the public, service at the bar, sale of derivative products, transport of guests, etc.
Since 2022, Iess Crew has been coordinating this team and is always ready to welcome new volunteers.
