Autumn metting with the author Ivy Pochoda
In partnership with the “Un aller-retour dans le noir” festival in Pau and Éditions Globe, Quais du Polar has the honour of welcoming American author Ivy Pochoda to Lyon for a one-off meeting. This will be an opportunity to discuss her latest book, Dios et Florida (published in March 2025).
Quais du Polar invites you on Tuesday 7 October at 7pm at the Théâtre de la Villa Gillet (25 rue Chazière, Lyon 4e). Several secondary school classes will also be able to talk to the author about Ces femmes-là , during a school event in the afternoon.
Reservations are essential and cost €5 (general public) or free (members, volunteers and students).
The lecture will be followed by a book signing. Readers will be able to buy the author’s books on the spot.
About Ivy Pochoda
Ivy Pochoda lives in Los Angeles, where she teaches creative writing. She has published several multi-platinum novels that have been translated all over the world, including The Other Side of the Docks, winner of the Page/America Award, Route 62, winner of the Grand Prize for American Literature, Those women (a novel), ranked one of the best thrillers of 2020 by the New York Times, and Dios and Florida.

The event is part of the Quais du Polar festival’s year-round programme. Ivy Pochoda is doing us the honour of taking part for the first time, following in the footsteps of David Joy, Julia Chapman, Qiu Xiaolong, Chris Offutt, David Vann, Ron Rash, Cilla and Rolf Börjlind, Benjamin Whitmer and James Carlos Blake.
